Fundraiser: Bricks 4 the Kids
Dear terminal block friends,
Thorsten Klahold aka Johnny's World from Steinhaftes from Paderborn has launched a fundraising campaign.
Excerpt from the fundraising campaign:
"We are collecting donations in order to use the money to order clamping blocks from alternative clamping block manufacturers in China directly and at cost price and then give them away to children who live in children's homes.
With this we want to send a signal to LEGO® that their company, price and product policies no longer match the company they once were in our childhood.
From a donation of around 30,000 euros we can have a container full come from China. If less is collected, the money will be donated to the “SOS Children’s Villages worldwide” on July 1st, 2021
"Hermann-Gmeiner-Fonds Deutschland eV" donated.
If there is enough for one or more containers full of clamping building block toys, the purchase of goods, transport and handling costs, money transfer costs and shipping costs will be paid for. We only work to cover our costs at cost price and no profit is made from it.
All cash flows are monitored and accounted for by a lawyer.
Unfortunately, we are not a non-profit organization and therefore cannot issue a donation receipt. However, we are working on founding a club and if successful, there is an idea to make the campaign an annual event." (Thorsten Klahold organizes this campaign.)

Let's reach the goal together and reach or better yet exceed the minimum donation of 30,000 euros.
