As you may have noticed, at Ugears we are lovers of the sea and sailors' machines inspire our creativity. If you've ever dreamed of taking to the high seas, to that diffuse line on the horizon where sky and sea merge, then you need this new ingenious ship model to prepare for it.
The idea behind the tractor was to create a functional mechanism, but with a certain pizzazz, because it should be realistic and exciting at the same time. And of course: He had to have something to do with shipping.
I'm sure many of you enjoy watching the gears at work as much as we do. That's why we designed the tug's hull, designed down to the smallest detail, so that the movements of the wonderful mechanism can be observed. This means you can fully enjoy the most important technical elements that we have integrated into this model.
The tractor is powered by a rubber motor that draws its energy from the tension of a rubber band connected to a bearing. The reduction gear transmits energy to the drive wheel and further to two asymmetrical wheels. The pendulum slows down and harmonizes the movement of the tractor.
The asymmetry of the two wheels gives the model its unique movement, which is similar to that of a ship rocking on the waves. The pendulum produces a specific noise that is reminiscent of a real diesel engine, as used in many ships.
The winding key on the drive wheel is blocked using a locking mechanism. There are two control levers: one stops the mechanism, the other triggers it, i.e. a stop and a start lever.
Use the two towing ropes with hooks and tow smaller loads - models with wheels or a paper ship. Depending on the condition of the surface, your tractor covers 1.5 to 3 meters.

The Ugears Tugboat mechanical model kit includes 169 components made from high-quality wood and includes everything you need for assembly (including threads, hooks and ropes). The parts are of first-class quality: cutting from the plywood panel is done using a laser method that enables precise, precise cuts. The individual parts only need to be removed from the plate and assembled to assemble the complete model. Like all Ugears models, the tractor comes with step-by-step and easy-to-understand color instructions in 11 languages (English, German, Ukrainian, French, Polish, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Chinese and Korean). No glue or special tools are required to assemble it into a functioning tractor.
